A rich, red-wine color, yak meat is more delicious than beef. Ultra-lean, yet rich in healthy omega-3 oils, yak meat remains juicy and delicate in flavor, with no gamey taste whatsoever.
Use in any recipe as you would ground beef. For patties, grill or pan-cook over medium flame or heat, four minutes per side for medium rare. Yak can easily catch fire on the grill due to all the healthy omega-3 oils, which you’ll see dripping out.
